What a record represents
A record describes the resource according to its sources and the material reviewed. It is not an endorsement, independent test or market-share measure.
Inclusion
We publish work relevant to defensive cyber deception or a clearly marked adjacent area when a public primary source supports a bounded description. Type, technique, environment, date and limits are shown.
Material reviewed
Public page, repository metadata, repository documentation, publisher metadata, abstract and full text indicate what was actually read; they are not quality scores. A full-text label requires review of the entire publication’s method, evidence, results and limitations.
Disclosed interests
Federico Pacheco is responsible for the Atlas. Federico Pacheco and Diego Staino are coauthors of BUDA, DOLOS-T, and Cyber Deception Playground. The six related records disclose that connection and follow the same criteria as other records. They are not presented as independent evaluations of defensive effectiveness. Other author, vendor, or reviewer interests must also be disclosed before publication.
Geography and language
Source language is recorded only when verified. Organization country, delivery or deployment regions and sector were withdrawn from current editing and reporting because coverage was insufficient; published releases retain their historical data. We do not infer place of use from an organization address.
Discovery diversity
For each search tranche we record queries, sources and results by resource type and language. We search literature in indexes and publisher or institutional sources; software beyond GitHub; and offerings, datasets and community resources through their relevant sources. We use Spanish and Portuguese query variants where supported. Searches with no results and access gaps are documented. These are verifiable search targets, not inclusion quotas: every record must meet the same evidence and identity criteria.
Corrections and maintenance
Suggestions are reviewed before publication. A material correction records its source and a new revision. Automated monitors create reminders and never publish by themselves. We review suggestions weekly, source alerts monthly and field syntheses quarterly.
